Experience Exmoor

With almost 700 square kilometres to explore, it’ll definitely take you more than one holiday to enjoy all that Exmoor National Park has to offer; from walking, cycling, water sports and coasteering to history and heritage, there’s something for all ages on the moor! It doesn’t stop there either! The area of Exmoor covers a wider area that include beautiful villages, towns and scenery!

Walking & Exploring

The great thing about the local area and moorland is that it’s suitable for everyone! If you’re looking for a walk along the coast with a good local ale at the end of it, then you’re in luck! Wanting to do something a little more adventurous? Perhaps climb a tor for the view at the end? You’re in luck too! We provide all of our guests with a list of some great local walks and ideas for fun days out.

Take to the water

If you like the water, then there’s plenty to do in the local area. Head to the coast for some coasteering fun (worth a try if you’ve not done it before!) or venture inland and take a canoe out on the waters of a local lake. There’s definitely lots of water-based fun to be had.

Get on your bike

We think we’ve got some of the best cycle routes around! Just like walking and exploring the moor and surrounding area, you’re going to be able to find a cycle route that matches your needs; whether it’s lots of hills or a flat leisurely peddle. Many of our guests set out directly from their cottage during their stay.
