Head to the coast
If you’re wanting to explore the coast during your stay, then you’re definitely going to be spoilt for choice! Our central location means that you can easily spend a day on the breath-taking and rugged coastline of the Exmoor National Park, or head South to the dramatic South Devon Jurassic coastline, recognised as an AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty).
The Northern Coast
No matter if you’re wanting to get out there and walk, cycle or simply explore in the car for the day, the coastline that wraps around the Exmoor National Park is simply stunning! There are walking and cycling routes that are suitable for all levels, so there’s definitely something for everyone. There are also a variety of lovely walking and cycling routes direct from your cottage front door!
Coastal Villages
The North Coast not only has incredible views, but a number of fantastic beaches and pretty places to stop on your way. Lynton and Lynmouth is well known for its railway, whilst closer to our cottages is the historic town of Dunster (complete with castle!), Minehead and many more…
Great Beaches
We’ve got a number of beaches within 20 miles of our cottages – Blue Anchor, Dunster and Minehead to name just a few! If you head further afield for a day trip, the surfer’s paradise of Croyde, Woolacombe and Saunton are within an easy hour’s drive.
Heading South
You’ll never tire of the North Coast, but heading South is definitely an option when it comes to a great day out! The Jurassic South Devon Coast is within an hour of our cottages and comes with brilliant beaches, pretty coastal towns and plenty to see and do!
