Spring into Somerset!

Is it just us, or has Spring been a long time coming??  Well, we’re glad to say it’s finally on the horizon.  That means lots of exciting places are opening again after what seems like a very long winter!.

Beautiful Gardens are waking up from their winter hibernation and are ready to explore. Hestercombe House and Gardens, near Taunton is only a short drive.  Or there’s the National Trust’s Dunster Castle in a truly stunning location overlooking the Somerset Coast. Even driving around at this time of year, the hedgerows are awash with snowdrops, daffodils and bluebells as Somerset welcomes in the Spring.  Don’t miss Channel 5’s new series; Somerset Wonder of the West Country. It really does showcase our wonderful County beautifully and features some of our guest’s favourite places to visit.

There are Dog friendly beaches aplenty along the Somerset Coastline. If you prefer the countryside for your dog walks, you’re spoilt for choice.  Both the Quantock Hills AONB and Exmoor National Park are within easy reach.  Check out the latest information on Somerset’s dog-friendly beaches right here:-https://www.thebeachguide.co.uk/south-west-england/somerset/dogs-allowed

Our guest’s favourite attractions are starting their 2024 season this month. The West Somerset Railway starts operating again on 23rd March.   Easter is early this year with lots going on locally. East Quay in Watchet has programme of family-themed events. It’s a fantastic contemporary arts centre with a real buzzy vibe in the West Somerset harbourside town of Watchet.

We still have availability during March, although we only have one property available over Easter Weekend at present.  Check our website for current availability and our latest offers: https://lavenderhillholidays.co.uk/availability
